#2 - #2 Predators Gold

This is the Sequel to the first book of my choice called "Mortal Engines"

In this book, Tom Natsworthy and Hester Shaw, find themselves aboard an Ice town called Anchorage. They soon find out that Freya, the mayoress of the town, has some intriguing plans.

-See, during the sixty minute war, most everything on the earth was destroyed using extremely high explosives. Including all plantlife; except one person, Nimrod Pennyroal, has said that he has been to America and has seen vast landscapes of lush green vegitation.

Tom and Hester pick up Pennyroal as he has convinced them to be their passenger, aboard a flying city called Airhaven.

Back to Anchorage:

Freya, the mayoress, decides that she trusts Pennyroal, and she appoints him head navigator for Anchorage. During this time, Tom and Hester start getting suspicious and try to convince Freya that Pennyroal is a big fake.

At some point in time, Freya asks Tom to be a guest in the Winter Palace for an evenings dinner, although Hester doesn't like it, Tom goes anyway. Hester decides the she should spy and later sees Tom kissing Freya. Hester proceeds to fly away in her air ship the Jenny Haniver, and goes to a predator town called Arkangel. She then sells Anchorage to Arkangel in an attempt to receive Tom back as her 'Predators Gold'. Before she can get back to Anchorage to collect her payment, she is captured by the 'Green Storm'.

During which she is held prisoner by the Green Storm, Tom is captured by a band of thieves called the 'Lost Boys'; in which he is forced into Archangel to try and recapture Hester as a distraction for a bigger plan.

But before Tom is captured, Archangel sinks below as the ice it is on breaks under its own weight, just as Pennyroal shoots Tom aboard Anchorage and escapes in the Jenny Haniver.

-Now that I've gotten through most of part 1 & 2 of the book, I think I'll take a short respite....
